Social and Environmental Safeguards Specialist
Phillip is an environmental scientist and project manager with over thirty years’ experience in a wide variety of industries, managing both environmental and engineering teams. His experience spans project planning and approvals, EIA, project management, cultural heritage management, extractive industries, estuarine and wetland ecology, sewage studies, hydrographic surveys, contamination assessment and remediation, water quality, due diligence, management plans, dredging and sediment studies, fisheries surveys and other studies on the effects of habitat modification.
Phillip has been working with the TCAP team since 2018 and has been in-country on a regular basis since construction commenced. Phillip is responsible for ensuring that environmental and social aspects of the project are managed in accordance with Tuvaluan law and UNDPs Social and Environmental Standards.
